Hello everyone,

I just bought a new Twilight Sparkle today, because I saw her and told to myself 'odd... She seems different...'.

And when I'm back home, I compared her to my other regular Twilight Sparkle and, in fact, she was different : No bangs !

As far as I know, regular Twilight Sparkle always has bangs... This one is just like the one sold with the scooter in fact. (except she has a pink spot on one white star)

So what ? a release ? Wrong pony in wrong package ?
Does anybody have an idea about it ? Maybe I simply miss a small thing...

Wow that's strange.

At some point Hasbro decided they no longer wanted to give bangs to the ponies (cost too much maybe?) so all singles now have no bangs. I keep one of each, with and without, in my collection XD

Ha ? So a release of a different pony in the same packaging ?

They stopped putting bangs on the G4s sadly. Drives me nuts, I can't find a Twilight or Rainbow Dash with bangs to save my life now!

Hasbro stopped putting bangs on ponies because it's cheaper to make them without.

We hardly got any ponies with a fringe [bangs] in the UK...I think there was maybe one batch at the start...but now all of them have no fringes - all the suitcase ponies have no fringe.

Oddly I have noticed that the Rainbow Dash that comes with Rainbow Flash does have a fringe [bangs] - she must be from the earlier releases.

I really didn't like the bangs... but now that they're gone.. i MISS THEM. There's no pleasing me I guess

Applejack and Dash don't have bands anymor, either. I believe it's because adding the extra plugs and having to use more hair was costing them a tad bit more than they were comfortable with.

Some of them do, certainly! I've bought a lot of both sets for trading and I've gotten RD's with bangs and ones without them from bonus packs. I already had the one with bangs, but when I bought a set with a bangless RD I was going to bait, I thought she was too cute to bait XD The same thing also applies to Daisy Dreams, I have one of bangless/with bangs each. They're adorable twins.

Lol....you cant win with Hasbro...just as you think you see a pattern...*nope*....think again!!! He he he

They were released with bangs in the Wave 1 & 2 assortments (Wave 1 was the original 6; Wave 2 added Cheerilee & Lily Blossom). Wave 3 was when the bangs disappeared (Wave 3 added Dewdrop Dazzle & company). As far as the ones sold with bonus ponies, I dont know if there was a defined split between bangs & no bangs production.

There is a Blossomforth with a fringe as well, there are MIP pics of both versions here: mylittlewiki.org/wiki/...ossomforth

And I'm sure that I read somewhere that the Dash/Flash and Fluttershy/Daisy Dreams packs varied with fringes in Europe and without in Australia (but I may have imagined that).
