So how about a thread where you share... interesting (or funny) experiences in buying ponies? ^^

I'll give you mine. So today I went to an antique mall with my mother. I'm pony-crazy, so after lots of searching I found some ponies.

One didn't have a price tag on it, so we told the cashier when we went to pay, and here's what happened:

Cashier: Hey, (some other worker's name)?
Worker: What?
Cashier: How much would this be?
Worker: What is it?
Cashier: Little pony.
Worker: $2.
Cashier: Sounds good.

They just made up a price on the spot, lol!

Lol! That's a good buy! I was in Tescos once looking for the newest wave, and I saw stock boxes that said MLP Assist. It was on the top shelf, and I reached and reached, and when I finally got the box down... 8 boxes of singes fell on my head! It was raining ponies!

Who was it!?

We had a similar experience with g4 ponies at track they did not have prices so cashier and assistant compared them to hello kitty toys and sold them for £2.50 haha!!!

It was a Sunny Daze with pen all over her, lol.

I also got five other G3s for $1 a pony! They all had really nasty hair, though.

Most of the antique/flea markets/thrift stores recognize me as the pony lady and they always giggle when I bring up fistfulls of them.

Everytime I walk into Goodwill or the local charity shop, I hear, "Hi, Pony Lady!" or "It's the pony lady!"

Here's a story!

So I have two hobbies. One is blogging/writing young adult novels. The second is MLP. I talk about those topics pretty often in the house and my partner is nowhere near as whimsical as me. Her interests lie in history, politics, law, etc. I love Disney, children's literature, movies, comedy, improv, writing, etc.

This is a conversation we had on New Year's Eve (we stayed in, traffic was awful!)

Her: Let me tell you about this article I read about September 11, 2011.
Me: *watching tv* Okay..
Her: Well.. *goes into the article specifics*... Did you read the 9/11 Commission report?!
Me: No..
Her: It was like a novel the last half! *pause* You have to put up with me always talking about this stuff, the House of Representatives, the Hapsburgs.. don't you?
Me: *stare*
Her: ..Yeah, you can buy as many ponies as you want.



Now when I buy a pony, I smile and say "Hapsburgs"

They are this family from Austria that have a lengthy history that she read a book about and told me about in great detail.

(I love learning new things, really, I'm just teasing!)

i went to a pawn shop to look for ponies and they had none, so i went back to the car with my head held low. and then mom pointed out a store at the corner that looked like children's stuff. i went in and it was a store that sold used clothes and toys. i went in and they had stylin pinkie pie. i grabbed her and started looking around more and the lady kept going "hey you! hey! wait! with the pony!!! hey! she has accessories!" and she was running after me waving a baggy XD

Once I was at Goodwill and there was a little girl wandering the toy aisle with a doll in one hand and a pony in the other hand. She kept asking her mom for both of them, and her mom kept telling her, "no you have to pick ONE." I kind of stalked her for ten minutes, not losing sight of her until she made up her mind.
She picked the dolly!!
As soon as she set the pony down and rounded the corner I picked it up and got it for 99 cents!

I only ever find ponies from one lady at the flea market. She never has anything but G3s. Anyway, the first time I bought from her, I raided her pony area. She told me they were $2 each but I had so many of them that she just said to give her $12. I got them for less than a dollar each at that price

Now she holds any she finds for me ^^

I bought a pony set today in Tesco. My aunt works there, and came over to chat while we were waiting at the checkout. I just casually put the box flat and hoped she didn't see it ahahahaha.
