Wow. I remember one of my ponies having a notch in its chest, and a couple with easily-washable marks, but I've never seen anything as bad as this where I live… If this is a common problem then I do think it's time to mail Hasbro about this. And about that issue with the unrecyclable packaging, too.
(Though, of course, I can live with that notch. I know a real-life pony who was kicked exactly there by another horse, and he's had a hoofmark for the rest of his life. And anyway, I tend to have a habit of buying things with errors because I feel sorry for them…)

Unfortunately, I don't think any of this will change as long as people still buy the product. Writing to them is all well and good but why would they take notice when they can still flog the stuff?

I remember one of my ponies having a notch in her chest but I don't remember anything as bad as that. And I can live with the notch anyway - I know a real pony who was kicked in that exact spot and the hoofmark's been there ever since.

Gah I am going G4 shopping today and I will have to analyze them carefully to make sure I don't get a messed up one...

they emailed me back and told me that they would send me a pre-paid envelope and if i send her back to them, they'd give me a new one. i told them i don't need a replacement since i ended up using it as a custom.

I'm kind of not wanting a white Celestia now ... I've seen some Raritys that look GRAY with marks and stuff.

Not one of my G4s has flaws, and I have the first two waves complete. Plus a full set of the CMC.
Lucky me
