Do many of you routinely wash and condition them right away or only if they really need it?

I always wash them and de-frizz if they are really bad. If the pony originally has curls, I try to make curls that look as natural as possible : )
In a few cases if I know the pony comes from another collector and seems to be "done" already, I do nothing else but put it with it's new ponyfriends : )

I wash their hair if it's frizzy. Like my Galaxy, for example. I sill need to wash Super Long Hair Rarity's hair. Most frizzy pony I have.

I'll wash hair only if necessary and usually will do within a day or two of buying. I'll curl hair only if it needs to be curled.

I give my ponies a cleaning every once in a while. If I am getting used ponies from someone else the very first thing I like to do is give them a bath and inspect them for rust, dirt, mold, ect.
The only other time I will usually wash my ponies is if their hair is dry, they got dirty, or if I am going to style their hair.

Whenever I get a new pony, I condition their hair, straighten it, let it dry, then I condition it again, and styling it to my liking.

If their hair is messy I condition it so I can brush it, but I don't have a straightener and cannot for the life of me do straw curls. This means my ponies all look like messes with frizzy, unstyled hair. It sucks. D:

If it already looks nice, I don't like to mess with it incase it comes out looking worse, haha. But if it's already bad and there's not much chance of that, I'll clean it up. If I were any good at styling I might have a go at them all, but I'm not.

If it comes from somewhere like a flea market then yes, I do wash them up. But if I buy a pony that has great hair already I don't bother.
I've been a bit lazy lately with cleaning new collection ponies. I need to get myself motivated.

I usually only wash them to condition their hair if it's a mess.

LOL this.
When I do a spa day I like to do quite a few at once as I have to set up a lot of stuff anyway. Right now I have a cupboard full of ponies that are waiting for spa day, in varying conditions. They stare at me when I'm in my "pony office".
