*UPDATE* Alot of you guys think that you are to use an expensive pony. That is not true! You can use any foriegn variation other than UK since to UK peeps, they are their HK ponies (although there are a couple exceptions like the princess ponies). We are giving away alot of great prizes, and we need more entrees. Don't forget you can draw it, paint it, use your PC, use the colouring book thing here, whatever. We have some great entries in the Nirvana Gallery right now if you need examples. You can also use as many ponies as you want but at least two and one must be HK.

We can't wait to see your entries!


It is time for the Nirvana to have another contest! Our last one was quite a success and many people discovered the Nirvana. This contest is going to be a little different than the last contest. This is going to be a caption contest.

The theme is what happens when the original (HK, CHINA) meets it's foreign counterpart (no G2 or G3 ponies).

This can be a photo, a drawing (computer or hand), anything basically as long as it uses the contest's theme.

The caption (this is the story of the picture, like in a comic) can be up to 5 sentences. You can enter one so pick out your best!

If you don't have a foreign you can still enter! You can ask a friend to borrow one if you know someone well enough, or you can draw one. We have a whole gallery of variations in good detailed pics that you can find one to draw! If you cut one out to paste, please PM me first.

The deadline is May 20th
The top 5 will be chosen and posted May 22nd
The winner will be announced May 25th

The prizes will be Mex. bowtie, French Skydancer, Italy Blossom, Italy CC and AJ (together), or Baby Satchel. First place gets to choose first, then second, then third.

You can PM your entry to Nirvana_Contest. We will put your submission in a special gallery at the Nirvana Gallery.

Well the theme is what happens what the HK/China pony meets it's foreign counterpart. So there must be at least 2 ponies in the caption.

I feel even stupider, just to get this straight, the contest isnt captioning pictures that are already made, we have to just have two (one forgein and one U.S./U.K. ) taking to eachother?

More importantly willl the top 5 be chosen and then voted on by the memebers of the arena or will they just win based on selected judges?

And will the thing that is judged be the caption, the picture or the effectiveness of the caption on teh picture (basically teh entry as a whole)?

Sorry for these silly questions but hopefully someone else out there might have them.

Maybe an example would help? Is that possible?

No, you have to make it. Kcat and I did talk about premade ones and thought we might use that for a later date (hint hint).

As a whole. As a hint, it may be easier to think of a caption first, and then the picture. It will not be based around the rarity of the pony. That has absolutely nothing to do with the contest.

Hmmm...*wants to enter* I know which pony I want to do...but as for her variants...can I use Euro ones that are obviously different (i.e. Greek red Glory who is pink with red hair, much different than the original Glory)? Sorry I'm all ignorant on this variant stuff

Well do you have a HK Glory?

And please understand, other than the HK/China pony, you can use any varient you want. It can even be a piggy pony.

Absolutely! You can use as many as you want and they can say whatever you want. The only two things it has to have is a HK/China version, and it has to stick to the theme.
