hey ppl, doesn't this feel like the Golden years of Hasbro?
I mean, everything new they make is sooo frickin' beautiful and you want it so much that words is not enought to express it.

yeah. I just hope it don't mean "this is the last of the line so we make it as good as possible"

I really, really like the return to 'magical' elements. The whole Ponyville mall thing - cellphones and all - wasn't doing it for me. This was supposed to be My Little Pony, not 'Clueless'.

The whole Pegasus theme, with thier hidden island, seems to have been only the start. I'm really happy to see them move further in this direction. Here's hoping we see cloud showers and that rumored forest in the near future!

I totally do!!! Its so exciting!!! The new ponies are so gorgeous! And I just love them!!! I've been waiting for hasbro to really start doing stuff like this! And I'm totally thrilled with what they've come up with!! (Now, if they add some unicorns, it would be PERFECT!! )

I say No... I started off collecting all the ponies because every one was well designed with hair and symbol and body... now there's bodies I can't stand in any way whatsoever (strawberry reef, for example) and I only buy 25% or so of the ponies that come out now because more symbols look like bad clipart pasted on the side.

Now It seems like the first ponies in a new set are the ones that get much thought put into them and that all the ones after that are sort of thrown together.

I said no too, mostly because I simply don't like the new ponies as a whole, and I liked the 'golden years' of Hasbro. ~_^ I think the newest line is almost tacky. They have some great ideas, but they mixed them with not so great ideas, and they are still using way too much of the same colors.

As an aside on that, I just saw babysterretje's G2 id site on another thread, and I had no idea how many amazing designs they had for G2's! They had some stupid ones too, and an overdsosing of flowers, but many of them are just gorgeous to me. G3 isn't doing that for me in this new line. (Butterfly Island did, however. ^_^ So maybe for me the golden year is already gone. o_o)

Hasbro has a chance to redeem themselves to me witha unicorn, though. XD

I say yes!! Finally we get a real fantasy theme! The whole "butterfly island fun on the beach" theme was getting boring. And we get a whole lot more original ponies. There are already two more pony species: the breezies and the unicorns! The 3d cutie mark ponies and the pegasus ponies are improved. and the "cascade" and "patterns" ponies make the normal ponies with their simple cutie marks look boring. Off course a lot can change during the year.But at least now i can turn their heads XP

I was going to start only collecting exclusives nad the ponies I really really liked but now I like all of the ponies from this new line and I know I will want them all.
I love the pricess and fantasy theme, I think it is just great and my daughter is so excited about it!

i know what you mean,ive recently gone back into g3's but am suprised to see how much they have changed,is it my imagination or are they a bit smaller and have finer features now or do my glasses need changing,i do agree that some seem tacky when kimono sparkleworks ect right up to the last 18mnths the ponies were well planned and now sometimes i think they just throw some stuff together and think it dosn't matter as they will sell anyway,so although collecting g3 again i will be choosing just what i like and that way it keeps the cost down too.
but have to say i love the new winters as they have kept the old g3 syle to them

Come now...tell me a magic flower isn't at least as interesting as the island? And the two new pegasus ponies are fantastic (could've used a new pose in there though...that's nine of them now on the exact mold....the chorus line syndrome is getting tired. I guess it really wasn't so different with G1 though, looking at some archives recently....but still).

And the little fairy ponies...The excitement over them for thier own sake is over (I think I've just seen them too much now), but the ideology behind them is exciting. You don't find magic flowers and fairies at the mall...

I say yes! I'm already in love with most of this new line, especially the Breezies. I'm so excited for those and Silver Glow that I can't stand it x_x And it'll be nice to have Precious Gem, who is another Jewel Pony (I have all the Jewels thus far except Sun Shimmer and 11 of the Birthstones, which I don't particularly like except July).

Nah... I think the yellow breezie looks ok but the other 2 are creepy (personal opinion), so I'm not overly thrilled... plus they're only available with playsets. I don't have money or room for playsets... I just don't like the new line so much. Some is great, some is just... eh for me. At least it will make it easier to spend less.

Oh, and I really think the ponies are getting more and more like Barbie wannabees... The new ones all seem to have the same symbols... hearts, flowers, and butterflies. I know they're toys for little girls but come on! SOME variety would be nice.

I voted yes. I really love all the new ponies. I think the new designs are really neat, especially Fairy Dust, the new pegs and the breezies. The whole line is just fun! I like the new packaging too. Hopefully they will get going on the unicorns though!
