Sweat pants and mooses. Every year I get sweatpants, and every year my mother-in-law buys me some moose related thing. plushies, figures, etc. I don't like mooses. I told her I don't like mooses. She buys them anyway. Must be a mother-in-law thing. X_X

FOOD. Yes, family. I get that I'm skinny. However, hickory farms is not actually edible and will probably give me cancer or something.

Just... get me socks or something.

The worst is when my sister picks out this awesome gift for me and my mother actually nags her into returning it and getting that hickory farms crap. I never complain about any gifts but that.

If I get hickory farms, there's a good chance I'm going to spend the rest of the morning going 'Food?" in this horrified little tone.

I always seem to get those bubble bath and shower gel kinds of gifts. I have so many, I never get through all of them.

Cookbooks, jewelry, and bath stuff. I'm not big on cooking (baking, yes!), I'm very picky about jewelry, and I use very little in the way of lotions and potions.

Wow I dont have to worry about this my family gets me gift cards and ponies now....I did hate when I was little getting clothes for xmas>.<

I have 1 aunt (who I love and is a really, really great person), but she loves to shop, and she sends everyone in my family these big gift boxes.

Which would be fine if she knew what we liked.

She has sent me a purse for every Christmas and Birthday for the past 12 years. That's 24 purses!! I don't even CARRY a purse!! I've used purses to store everything from video games, to spare computer parts, to art supplies. But she won't stop sending!! And they're expensive purses too!

She also sends clothing that doesn't fit or is something we'd never wear, and sugar-free candy that no one eats. She sends my dad books (he never reads) and me hats (that don't fit).

And on top of all that, she always sends me a $50 check! Which is way too much money, especially on top of all of the expensive other stuff.

And there's no way to tactfully tell someone that they are not good at choosing gifts, lol

EVERY year somebody gets me a horse calendar...sometimes several people do. I've tried to tell them that I like to choose my own calendars, but they don't seem to listen. Sure, I like horses...but the calendars I keep getting EVERY YEAR are getting boring. NO MORE HORSE CALLENDARS, please. >.<

Nobody gets me ponies...and as much as I would like that...they refuse to get something they think I'm too old for. *rolls eyes*

I'm in agreement witht the bath stuff, I have sensitive skin so I can't use over half the soaps I get. Luckily my hubby isn't afraid of them so we're finally getting through them... wow, if it weren't for him I'd be single, living in a house I made for myself out of soap...

I third the shower gels/lotions woe. I don't use shower gels. I can only use so much lotion. I think between my mother and myself, we've accumulated a lifetime's supply of gels and lotions. We used to have a gift exchange with my father's family, and that meant yearly Avon lotions and gels! I have a feeling that a lot of girls have too much of this stuff, just like us, because it's the kind of gift you get a woman you don't know very well. ^^

Oh my god I get bags of candy too!! Like the giant A bags of M&Ms that people are supposed to use in cooking -- I get those in my christmas sock!! Haaaaate it!

And my mom is known for giving gifts, where she says AS YOU ARE OPENING IT "Don't get excited - its just a filler gift" I swear - I HATE FILLER GIFTS!!!!! They end up being candles that are an odd color; christmas socks; best one was a honey dipper/holder thing (I don't even like honey) **bangs head**

And then, my poor husband -- He's much smaller then my family - so they assume that he wears a Medium shirt. Yeah, he wears an XL **bangs head harder**
