Yeah finally I am going on holiday!!!

Havent been away all year. We booked the trip yesterdag and are leaving for Miami next Monday. Me and my mom are going for 10 days!

We are driving from Miami to Orlando and then back again, cuz we are leaving the states from Miami.

I am really looking forward to it!! I have been selling loads of stuff just to go on holiday, since I am still unemployed.. have been for 5 weeks now. That is why I really needed a break from all of this here.

Does anyone know how badly Wilma hit Miami and surrounding cities? We havent heard much about it here in Holland...

And any good stores I should go to in the Orlando area? I have been going there almost every year now, but maybe they built new things or have stores I havent been to yet.

Well, I live in Florida, but not near Miami. =(

As for the storm, I'm not sure. Some people tell me it hit bad, others say it was just a glance after Katrina. I'm not sure, since I don't have a television and the radio/newspapers don't talk about it anymore. Ugh.

As for stores... you can sometimes find a few new cropping ups around International Drive. I know that there was an anime store that cropped up a little while ago that deals in a few things other than anime, like mlp.. but only on occassion. The malls there are really good for MLP, but only new MLP.

Not sure about anything else. I don't go down to Orlando often because I live about an hour and thirty-five minutes away, and gas it just too expensive to window shop. XD

as for gas being too expensive.. wait till you hear what we pay for a gallon!! Around 6.25 dollars!! so I think we will be in heaven over there as for gas haha.

Teddy, well sorry to say, but we wont be visiting seaworld or any amusementparks... we are going pony hunting hahaha. My mom wont go in any attraction anyways, so waste of money haha.

TheMonokeros: yes I know, gasprices have dropped a bit again, a couple of weeks ago it was almost 8 dollars a gallon. holland is the most expensive country with gasprices in the world!! Totally crazy!! Since we have 16 million people living here and you can travel from North to South in like 4 hrs and from East to West in like 2-3 hrs!!

It dropped to $2.37 today. *Feels bad now* lol

hahaha oh well... I dont think it will ever get that cheap over here ever again... and I dont think we will ever get used to the high prices but whatcha gonna do about it.. nothing and people will drive their cars anyways since public transportation has ridiculous prices too. we pay almost 30 euros, thats almost 36 dollars for a round trip to Amsterdam, that is around one and a half hrs by train...

Although my area was not badly damaged, our power was finally restored at 8:57 am this morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As of last night, gas prices ranged from $2.61 (Mobil) - $2.77 (Shell), depending on which gas station you went to.
