I have severe TMJ, so yours sounds to me like the beginning of it. You need to see a dentist/maxillofacialist, of course, and also be very very careful with what you eat so you do not make it worse. I did not really pay too much attention to mine since I was a singer and it got to the point where it got stuck open and closed. :/ I had to wear this awful splint for a long time which gave back some movement, but I'm afraid I'll never have full movement again even if I end up getting surgery.

That does sound awful! Like I said-I've had this for years, at least 5! And I never even realized it-my husband just used to tell me that my jaw was making funny noises when I was eating. But there is no pain, nothing. I have a dentist appointment sometime this month, so I hope he will have a better idea of it.

I have TMJ... I wonder if my jaw cracks when I eat... >.> Sometimes it gets stuck open for a short time.
