I'll bet that the ones sitting on the fence were their younglings. If so, five is a huge clutch for them to be successful with.

Yeah, I'm sure they were eating something that was run over. Maybe an adult Raccoon.
The ones sitting on the fence weren't their younglings, cause the eagles in the ditch were pretty young themselves. I'm sure they were hawks, since they looked a bit smaller (and there are LOTS of hawks around here). I thought maybe they were waiting to see if there would be anything left for them when the eagles left?
I'm not sure though... I don't know that much about them.

I just know that I have seen hawks before, and the ones on the fence posts looked like hawks, while the one in the ditch looked like a Golden Eagle.
