My husband's family use to have them when they were kids-they swear by them, but they NEED a huge fence.

One of them, Misty, felt her role was similar to "Nana" in Peter Pan-she took complete care of my hubby and got very upset if he was getting hurt; or mistreated (by one of his brothers-taking his toys, etc).

She would even sleep by the door and if she heard unfamiliar sounds start to bark and alert his parents.

He loved her so much.
