Here's the skate setup specs

Greenish/blue shiny ones:
Boot: Riedell 395 custom color Caribbean blue with a shearling tongue
Plate: White Sunlite 7mm
Wheels: Radar Speed Rays in Baby Puke Green (firm)
Bearings: 7mm BSB Swiss (7 years old, and still quiet and smooth)

Black ones:
Boot: Riedell Carrera 2nd edition (they feel like tennis shoes!)
Plate: Black Suregrip Probe
Wheels: Hyper Witch Doctor orange (firm)
Bearings: China Bones Redz 8mm

the super shiny ones are for the rink, the others are uhmm backup? I got the black ones on ebay for like $30. There's at least one other person who knows how much the shiny ones set me back.. *coughs* Rebecca *coughs*

I don't know if it can be classified as a hobby as much as an obsession, but they're definitely consuming my life right now. I just rediscovered my love for them (this is U2, by the way, heh) and I'm now hyperventilating over trying to get tickets to see them in Cleveland... where I saw them in 1987 on the Joshua Tree tour. And I'm spending all my money on catching up on CDs and DVDs, so, hey, that counts, right?

FullMOON! Those are gorgeous!! Are you into artistic roller skating as well? or just speed skating?

I'm into ice (figure) skating. My boots (pics to come promise) set me back about $390.00 (Reidell 900 or 1500 can't remember atm, they're in the truck ^_^) with a custom package as my feet are WEIRD and my blades were $179.00 (MK Comet Ace). It's WORTH it! There's NOTHING like quality boots and (blades in my case) to make skating more wonderful! I've only skated in Reidell boots and they're so awesome IMO. I want full customs at some point in the near future though in beige. I even want the gold blades but the gold and beige look kinda tacky together ^_^.

I used to do artistic rollerskating, but I quit, I wish I hadn't. I had Riedell 220's with SureGrip Classic Plates, German Race Bearings and Bones Elite Wheels. I miss artistic skating, but ya know, I fall alot less now.

Now I simply do jam/shuffle skating. Which reminds me, there's an all day skate today!

I play Neopets, and GoPets. Also the mmorpg Star Wars Galaxies. I've got five bearded dragons and four corn snakes. I also watch a lot of crime dramas (CSI, L&O, Criminal Minds, etc). I joke with my bf that I'm learning how to properly dispose of him.

I believe the one to ask is livetosk888... she's on Team Riedell.
But I'll put it simply, jam skating is breakdancing on skates. Shuffle skating is two stepping while going around in the all skate direction.
