FullMOON! Those are gorgeous!! Are you into artistic roller skating as well? or just speed skating?
I'm into ice (figure) skating. My boots (pics to come promise) set me back about $390.00 (Reidell 900 or 1500 can't remember atm, they're in the truck ^_^) with a custom package as my feet are WEIRD and my blades were $179.00 (MK Comet Ace). It's WORTH it! There's NOTHING like quality boots and (blades in my case) to make skating more wonderful! I've only skated in Reidell boots and they're so awesome IMO. I want full customs at some point in the near future though in beige. I even want the gold blades but the gold and beige look kinda tacky together ^_^. |
I used to do artistic rollerskating, but I quit, I wish I hadn't. I had Riedell 220's with SureGrip Classic Plates, German Race Bearings and Bones Elite Wheels. I miss artistic skating, but ya know, I fall alot less now.
Now I simply do jam/shuffle skating. Which reminds me, there's an all day skate today!

What is jam/shuffle skating? I'm curious |
I believe the one to ask is livetosk888... she's on Team Riedell.
But I'll put it simply, jam skating is breakdancing on skates. Shuffle skating is two stepping while going around in the all skate direction. |
That is soooo coool! I've never heard of it before. ONly kind of roller skating here are regular kids out to have fun, hot doggers who like to knock others over, and the occasional speed skaters who are respectful of others. There was an artistic class offered but I never took it up.

I guess I need to take a pic of my Uncle Scrooge comics.... but it's a hobby on hold I guess. I haven't bought any new ones for almost a decade. |
d'oh! I totally forgot I still have all mine. My dad got me a new subscription to the Uncle Scrooge comics. Did you know that Bruce Hamilton passed away! *sniffles* I met him and his wife at the Prescott office here in AZ many many years ago and they were sooo sweet to me. We got a tour of the building and got many free comics.

OdinsM, you look AWESOME! I've always wanted to learn to swing a sword around.
FullMoonFever, my dear friend Day is in the roller-derby league here, and I bet she would die for those skates!
My other hobbies are swing dancing (which I have zero pics of me doing, unfortunately) and reading. I love good books and read a lot, fiction and non.

I used to be very into the horse thing (showing in dressage) but I had to give up my horse for various reasons, so I'm fully devoted to the plastic variety. I collected Breyers actively for 5 years and on the side for 3. I have about 130 Breyers, 7 Stones, a couple of Hagen-Renakers, and about 12 random other ones (I go for the girly-toy thing, like FSFs).
Top of the Display Piece of Doom, around 47 models, showing the 3/4 complete Marabella conga line:
Pseudo-curio, some of my favorites and my 3 or so valuables:
I'm also quite into weird/outdated fashion, makeup (think neon), and hair dye (I've had pink and green). I pine for boots like the stereotypical woman pines for regular shoes. Here's the lastest and greatest--
5" platforms, fake leather. I wore them out for the first time last night, they are lovely to wear, but require a bit of concentration for walking.
