Mine was probably a few G3s that I jumped the gun on when they came out. I ended up paying an arm and a leg for shipping the first spring basket and Crystal Crown from Australia before they showed up here, and for some other new ones from Singapore I found here a couple weeks later.

I didn't really pay for it, but I had a total pony Blonde moment a couple months back. I had quite a few Moondancers that I had lost track of because I was going to sell them.
Well, one went missing. I found her a week later, yellowed from my dogs peeing on her. I was totally amazed because I thought I had a yellow Moondancer that I didn't even know of! I had a cold then, so I couldn't smell the pee on Moondancer.
I sat the nice Peedancer right next to my mint ponies, proud, and beaming. I'd pull her head off when I felt better..
Couple days later, I notice a distinct smell coming from my pony room. Sure enough, it was Moondancer. I washed ALL of my ponies, and thank goodness they weren't.. "infected".

My nursery, a few big bro's... umm... I've overpaid for quite a few as I was so excited and unknowledgable in the beginning... on the up side, I was able to pickup the nursery so I avoided shipping... oh, I don't like to think about it....
Thanks for the Yellow Moondancer story, cheered me right up... naughty puppies...

I dunno about paying lots, but Cloud Climber came out here the same time as the winter ponies so i bought the 3 winters and left cloud climber... later i decided i wanted her bad so I went back to where I saw her but they were all gone. The next day i read a post about TRU having them so i did the bold from my office building across into the mall to check if TRU had her... which they didnt. That night I went late night shopping to 3 different places until I found her, and she was the last one on the shelf with mushed up tinsel but i bought her anyway.
Now i see her everywhere... its like she is haunting me... and i havent opened the one i bought cos im scared the tinsel will be really bad!

- A lot with Italian Cotton Candy, baby Cotton Candy, Blossom and baby Blossom.
Italian CC was very discolored and baby Blossom had those tiny black pindots all over her.
- a Sunlight. She's a beauty but still I think I overpaid. It was in the beginning of my collecting.
I have had a lot of good deals and bargains too, so I don't really mind those 2 above.

I think I spent a lot on my complete set of mountain boys. But I wanted them so bad. I paid $300 for all six.

I spent about $18 on a less than great condition Moondancer because I desparately wanted one (she was never sold here). The pony wasn't as described, and I did complain to the seller, but never followed it up.
I bought a minty one for about the same price a year or so later.
Rainbow Splash, I wouldn't say you overpaid there! That seems to be their going rate these days

Oh really? That's good to know. But my Sunburst isn't in good shape though. He's got age spots/streaks all over him. But I'm happy to have him though, it's better than not having him at all. Bu $300 -- I've never spent that much on ponies, so it was a big deal to me at the time.
