Ebay got me. Well, rather, a seller on Ebay. I was promised she was Near Mint, my Quackers, without tail rust or markings. She can't stand up without help, there's a ton of tail rust and marks all over her body.. and her symbol is almost impossible to see cause its so faded. And I paid a lot for her.

*sniffles* Some day I WILL find my better quality Quackers. It may be silly, but she's my only Grail.

It's not MLP, but about four or five years ago when He-Man and the MOTU made it's return I started searching Ebay for the vintage toys. Before I really knew what I was doing I used a buy it now to get a Panthro (Skeletor's purple cat). The guy said he was in MINT condition. When I got him, he had all his flocking, but his gold eyes were missing. At that point I didn't know to complain. Months later I discovered that I had paid about double what he was really worth! ACK!

When I first started collecting again, the ONE pony I wanted was Seashell. So I searched and searched for her, and ended up getting one on eBay for about $20 or so after shipping. She is mint, so I'm glad I got a good one, but I could get one now in similar shape for probably half that...

Oh, well. I did want her so much! I'm sure there are others, but as you stay on line longer and longer, you get the feel for what is a deal and what isn't...

And there was my MOC Baby Ruby...I got her for $175, then about 2 weeks later one was sold for $75!! I did want her, too, but I could have used the extra $100!

I way over paid for Cherry Blosson, Cupcake and Shenanigans when they first came out, which I do regret since I can still find both Cherry Blossom and Shenanigans here now. Sad
I over paid on a lot of my g1s too but I don't really regret it, I would much rather have minty ones than ones with smooze all over them.

$21 for a lot full of fakies, a FF minty and a Baby Cuddles, both with cuts and bad marks. The seller totally gouged me on shipping, she charged me $15 but paid less than $5 (the lot actually only cost $6, the rest was all 'handling fees'). I filed a complaint with Paypal and Ebay, and eventually got my money back -full refund even (it took so long that when it finally came, it took me a while to figure out what it was for, and I was a bit annoyed, because I had no problem paying the $6 for the lot, even though it was overpriced, it was the shipping gouging I objected to).

Dumbest thing I overpaid for was actually with a trade I did. I sent a set of 1st tooth accessories Pillow, toothbrush, and toothpaste ..in return I got a Barbie Swan outfit for a Barbie Sad ..I didn't ask if it was for a child or a barbie, I just assumed it was for a child. I'd say I highly overpaid on that one. Exspecially since I sent back the Barbie Outfit w/my end of the trade. ( To me I felt it was my mistake for not asking enough questions, I had no need for the outfit so I just sent my end and hers back to her. Also made note to self never to trade again without asking a ton of questions. )
