PostPosted: 0    Post subject: So... what counts and what doesn't when counting ponies?

When you count your ponies, what do you count and what do you not count as a pony?

For example, do you only count the plastic little ponies, or do you also see, say, Good Morning Sunshine as a pony? And do you count Megan, or the friends that came with the baby & friend ponies (f.e. Lucky leaf and Leafy)?

I am asking because I am making a pony catalogue for my insurance and I'm not sure about some items, whether I should put them under ponies or accessories.

How do you count?

I only include the basic plastic ones.
The Mcdonalds ones I usually don't

as far as plush and such, no, they are their own catagory.

Only basic plastic ones, others get counted by themselves (# ponies, # plushes, # mcdonalds, ect)

I agree that plushes and mcdonalds ponies should be counted separately, but I think plastic pony friends (like leafy, woolie from the pony friends sets, and also cutesaurus and creamsicle and other friends) I would also count as ponies.

I count yarn-haired ponies and plushies as regular ponies. Basically anything pony-related that gives Pony Points, I consider a pony.

That's a good idea!

I basically put everything in its own category (ponies, McPonies, keychains, plushies ect)

Thank you. ^_^
One of the reasons I do that is because it makes it seem like I have more ponies. =P For example, I have 17 ponies right now, since I've only been collecting for a month, but if you didn't count my pillow buddy Pinkie Pie or my yarn-haired ponies, I'd only have 12.

I include pony friends w/hair as ponies (ex. Cha Cha the Llama, Baby Leafy) .

Twinkle, Brandy, Spike, and bushwoolies go on a separate list. Likewise Plushes, Petites, Dream Beauties, and other figures go on their own lists as well. Happy

I have two lists (which are then separated by generation): the first list is just ponies - all ponies including repeats, rereleases/new poses, including which set they are from. The other list is any accessories and other items (movies, clothes, etc).

I count plushies, ponies, McDonalds' ponies, petites, and dolls as ponies. I don't count keychains, bushwoolies, and pets, though.
