Wink Don't have any kids yet, but my collection will be handed down to my future daughters when they're of the right age to take care of them. I do, however, have a 9 1/2 year old niece who loves my ponies but I have to be very careful if I let her play with them. She has ponies of her own and they're all a disaster...hair chopped completely off...insanely grubby...lost...mangled...she also has a tendency to steal, so I have to exercise a lot of caution when she's playing with my toys LMAO

he he... I don't have kids either but I have a nephews and a niece. The oldest are both about 3 and when I opened my Butterfly Island over at my parent's house on Christmas they both came over to where I was sitting and my little nephew was like "Oh! We need open this box!" He was very excited about the waterfall for some reason! I gave my niece 2 ponies for Christmas so they joined us on the table and I put the playset together in record time (swiftly hiding Honolu-loo and Surf Star back into the emtpy box). We ended up on the floor as the playset kept sliding around on the tabletop and then my littlest nephew (1 yr old) kept coming over and trying to ripe off the palm tree and the little signs....ek! But I am glad that the older ones liked to play with it and maybe it will be a toy for them at my house (minus my fav ponies!).

I know this all but destroys their value, but when my daughter wants to play with any of the G3s, she's welcome to. I've a shelf up high for the very few G1s I have that are in NM shape, but there's baity ones she can play with as well. She's too adorable with 'em not to let her play!

My daughter is actually a total neat freak even at only 3 years old...all her toys are well taken care of and she doesn't mutilate or destroy them at all so she plays with almost all but a small bit of my collection...If there's a pony (esp G3s which are easier/cheaper to find) that I don't want her to play with we just get two. Smile She's so cute with them!

my grandaughter is cautious with my ponies. she knows i'll go postal on her if she damaged them. i only worry about my dogs. they are good boys but sometimes they like to sling stuff, so no unsupervised time in pony room

I don't have trouble yet since my daughter is only 9 months old, and all my ponies are stored away in the garage.

My girls and I share... Most of the g3s are theirs but the buitterfly island playset is mine from them. The g1s are only momma's ponies tho.

I don't have any kids yet, but friend's kids are allowed in my pony room only when I am there. The one little girl we know would be okay in there I'm sure, but frankly I don't trust the boys to not break my stuff even if they are not really into ponies. I do let my cat Lucky in my pony room by herself; all she does is purr and rub against the ponies because she knows they are mine. The other cat Trouble will knock them off the shelves one by one if she had a chance to reach any of them.

Same here! My oldest takes really good care of her ponies and is very careful with them, in fact all of them live in her room right now. My youngest is a little more rough with them but she is still nice to them. It is a lot of fun watching them play together, I think that makes collecting them about 90% of the fun for me. Wink

Same for me too. All of our ponies are on shelves in my daughters room. If they weren't they would still be in rubbermaid tubs. My son has a few in his room too. He has a thing for orange ponies so he has a Peachy, a sparkleworks (I rehaired in blue to make it less girly) and a custom DG baby he helped design (the one in my avatar). I don't mind sharing as long as they are nice to them.
