The G2 copyright is most likely cheaper to purchase (in order to use) and that may have affected the decision (since the DVDs retail quite cheap anyway... I found one at a petrol station today!). Or perhaps they were playing off the fact that it was the G2s that were out then.

I'd always thought they'd lost the rights... but that does seem increasingly unlikely now.
