My first concerns my baby bellaluna! I tried to wash her hair last night and it came out all wrong! its MORE frizzy!! what should I do? Blowdry? Help!!

And I now have two mintys... christmas and dressup fun butterfly... @_@ Is that bad?

Did you use conditioner in her hair? I use conditioner and run it through a curling iron.

i have four mintys! the regular one, the variant with the red candies, and the diva pose one, and the christmas minty... i'll get more if i can!

baby bellaluna's hair should be fine, just wet it, apply conditioner, comb it gently, rinse and wrap it around her neck to dry. when it's dry, comb it gently once more, and everything should be alright.

make sure you're using a good conditioner. Many of us use pantene, for example, which works quite nicely, but make sure to rinse well.

if you do choose to use a curling iron, be very very very careful. It can melt the pony's hair

I wish I had a curler but I don't. My straightener is actually back in tampa~! How do I get her hair to be nice n straight without a straightener? i've seen some nice ponies!

Well, I have um... 8 Minties. Will be 9 when I find the christmas singing one. I love Minty. I think the fact that you have 2 is wonderful. ^_^

Lol, my sisters a bit of a Minty fanatic. She wants them all but JUST started collecting. She's been trying to get my dark symbol Minty from me for a bit now. Driving me nutters! I have two Mintys though. Dark symbol Minty and winter Minty. I only bought winter Minty because she was on clearance though.

Here's the pics of what I did to poor baby bellaluna

I just run pony hair under very warm water (after a good brushing), wash it and then rinse it again under warm water, pulling and straightening the hair with my fingers. Then I put conditioner in the hair (I use Herbal Essence conditioner) and leave it for about half an hour. I rinse most if not all out, again with warm water. Then I style the pony's hair. I like some curl to hair so I wrap it around the body and put paper towel around the hair to hold it in place.

I can get a tail mostly straight with the teeniest bit of curl at the end (it's more like a flip) by having the wet tail hang over the edge of a sink, shelf or counter and pulling it flat with my fingers while still wet, then I let it dry. Looks like your Bellaluna is right at the stage where the hair can be styled.

starshower, if you want her to have straight hair, i would just comb it (gently! tinsel is fragile) out straight and let it dry. use conditioner to make the hair easier to comb, but make sure to rinse.

Their hair is pretty obedient for the most part. If you want a certain style, just make sure it dries in said style. if you want curls, wrap it around something to dry (it helps if you fold paper towels over it first as they will keep the hair in place and help absorb and distribute the moisture for faster drying). Straight hair doesn't really need towels, it just needs to hang freely, well combed.

So wrapping it around hr legs is probably a bad idea. I'm gonna use a pencil on her tail and hair this time with the paper towel. But for her hair, I want it to have a few curls, not just one big one. That's why I did the twists. it just messed it up

hehe, my baby Bellaluna's hair is notorious for being a 'fro, but its silky, so i am happy. Sometimes you just need to let the hair do what it wants to do, and hope that over the years it will calm down

as for owning multiples of the same pony, some people do that. There are variations of many many different ponies out there. and it makes collecting all the more intresting Myself, i collect Lickety Split (g-1) variants, i have 5 so far (Hong Kong, Peru, Argentina No Country, Spain, and Italian) I wouldnt be too concerned with different minties, unless it really bothers you to have them, then trade one off

Er, anyway, I had a problem similar to this. I tried to curl my Cloud Climber's hair, but after I dipped her hair into boiling water, I realized I had held her in too long, and her hair was getting frizzy. And when my friend wouldn't defrizz her, I gave it a shot myself, even though I hadn't even been collecting for two weeks, and I obviously hadn't had any previous experience. I found that it helps to comb conditioner through her hair, then rinse it out and brush it with her brush.
