I've spent seven and a half years trying to do exactly that. I don't want my website to be "this is the DV mistake listing page" - but I built it to give a correct version of UK pony history. I've had so much help from all the UK pony folk that I'm sure it's as accurate as it can be, considering
Unfortunately DV has a lot of sway and a lot of people still use it extensively. We can't change it - I did rewrite sections of it for Kim in 2000 ubt when she reupdated she reverted some of her information back. (It was worse - a lot of the fake UK names are now gone).
I've been fighting this stuff a long time and it's made me a bit crazy

Just ask poor old Lady Guinevere...ahem. But I feel it's important for an ID site to BE correct - because how is a collector supposed to know if it isnt?
As I said before, it's not the viewer's fault they believe DV. It's the webmistress who won't correct and update.
At least where the UK side of things are concerned, once my page is upgraded and updated I hope folk will start to use that. And MLPcollector is always the best site for US and accessory information. I'd love to pool all the ID site links onto my link page so that people can get a really good balanced view of it all!
