Hello all. I wasn't sure where to post this so if it should be somewhere else please move it. I figured more people would see it here.

I just wanted to let everyone know about the postage rate going up here in the US. This will go into effect January 8th 2006. The price of a stamp is going up by $0.02 and shipping is going up as well by a little more. I have included a link to the United States Postal Service site that shows what the rates are changing to.

I just wanted to let you all know about this to let it be a reminder about it.

ACK!!!!! Not again!!!!! I guess I'll have to see if the post office has any 2 cent stamps. I still have a bunch of the 37 cent Disney stamps i haven't used yet.

Canada Post is raising their rates as well, effective January 16th. As if OUR rates weren't already sky-high enough!!!

agh! dangit, I have a whole load of stuff to buy FROM the US this is going to be a pain.

And sailorstitch, they have made some 2 cent stamps for the change for those who still have a bunch of the 37 cent stamps. Their right pretty too.

again?! yikes. :( i never buy stamps, anymore. i find it just as easy to send letters and packages on a case-by-case basis. that'll probably change once i'm back at college, though.

I knew it was raising but I wasn't sure when, thanks for the news, I guess I am one of those that needs to go and get some of the $.02 stamps to cover the change.

yeah I'm gonna have to get a few of the $0.02 stamps as well. *sigh*
