Well, you probably don't. I used to be rabid and active in the pony community (mainly on the trading post), but then I moved out of home and had neither the space nor money to continue collecting (and you can never find ponies in op-shops for 20c each anymore. Ah... those were the days.) Then I moved to the back of beyond to work for 9 months and didn't even hang out on the forums much anymore! So all the oldies probably will go "Yay! It's Cosmos!" and all the newies will be like "Hey new person!"

My job in woop-woop involved my new hobby, birdwatching. I started birding because I love getting back to nature and I thought it would be a cheap hobby. How wrong I was! I have spent $500 on a pair of binoculars (and I got a bloody good deal) and now have my sights on a spotting scope which is gonna cost me in the realm of $3000 (That's in AuD). Seeing as all my ponies are now packed in boxes, I've decided to sell a heap of them to raise money for the scope hankerin', and to free up space. There'll be a good portion of my collection that I could never part with, but the ones I don't even know the names of... they're outta here.

So keep an eye out, the list of what I have for sale will be going up soon. I've grabbed all the boxes from my parent's and moved them all to my new house - crikey, I didn't realise I had so much!

How old are you? I turned 26 last October.

Where do you live? I live in Perth, Western Australia. I was born and bred here. I did however spend 9 months of 2005 living and working at Broome, which was awesome.

Profession or major? I have a degree in Conservation Biology. Currently looking for work.

How long have you been collecting? When I was a kid I collected from 1985 (starting with Applejack) to Christmas 1990 (ending with Pony Bride). I started collecting again in late 1998. Since 2004 I haven't really collected much, lack of space and money, and my priorities have changed.

Which generations of ponies do you collect? G1, G2 or G3? I have all 3.

What made you want to collect ponies? I was never really big on dolls, and when I got given Applejack and people realised ponies were cheap and easy gifts, the ball just got rolling. I started collecting again due to the release of G2 ponies and dragging out my childhood collection.

Tell us about your collection. I have around 500 ponies (I stopped counting at 500), but am about to sell the majority of them, even though a couple of years ago I swore I never would! My childhood collection numbers around 60 ponies and I never intend to get rid of those. My favourite ponies are... Alternate Cosmos (my namesake), Applejack (the first), Gusty and Chief (who isn't from my original collection).

LOL I get all misty-eyed when I see those old blinkies still in use! They were what made me first fall in love with the pony boards. I miss them. *sniffles*
