Hi guys. I've been lurking around a little bit, but I figured that it wouldn't hurt to make an introduction post.
The name's Julian, and I'm from Canada (originally Fort McMurray, Alberta, but right now I'm going to Acadia University in Nova Scotia to get my English degree). I'm 19, in my second year, and I've been a fan of ponies since I was a wee lad.
I've only just recently gotten back into pony collecting. Right now my collection is very small: only 8 and a half
-Cloud Climber
-Waterfire
-Kiwi Tart
-Island Rainbow
-Desert Palm
-Citrus Sweetheart
-Tropical Surprise
-McDonalds Butterscotch (this would be the 1/2 =p )
and Pony Bride (the only G1 I have at the moment)
Kiwi Tart is my favourite out of all of these. I like her pose so much, and she's -yellow-! I love yellow ponies.
I have a few other G1s back at home, but they're in storage in my parents' basement, and I haven't been able to find them. Makes me kind of sad; I'd like to take them out and clean them up so they look all nice again.
I've been trying to find as many ponies as I can, but it's difficult. Nova Scotia, from what I've heard, tends to get the short end of the stick as far as distribution goes. But at the last time I was at Zellers they were clearing out the toy aisle, so I'm thinking this means they'll get some of the new releases soon. I've got my heart set on Silver Glow.
My boyfriend finds my pony collecting silly, but it doesn't bother him much. He even said that when yard sale season starts, he'll look around for some G1 and G2s for me. I've told him to keep his eye out for Sweetheart Sister ponies. They're my absolute favourites (Flowerburst especially. I like her so much that I didn't put her in storage; she's sitting on my desk back at my parents' house)
Hmm... what else. Oh, yes. I'm interested in customizing! I haven't actually customized a pony yet, though. I'm waiting until I can get my hands on some baity ponies. New ones are expensive here (seven bucks a pop) and I really can't afford to buy new ones just to customize them. Besides, cleaning up old ponies makes me feel really good (I had so much fun cleaning up my Pony Bride. She looks great now!)
Anyway, that's me. I'm pretty sure I'll have fun here.

It's nice to know so many people share my love for ponies.
