Hello everyone, just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Leah, I'm 23 years old (though I'll be 24 next month), and I live in a very small town in IL. I'm currently a full-time student at University of IL in my final semester, and I'm majoring in visual arts (with emphasis on graphic design).
My artwork is kind of what got me back into MLPs, actually.  I had been picking up ponies at yard sales last summer for nostalgic purposes, and I started looking into how to best clean them up. When I came across this forum, I found information not only about cleaning and restoring, but also about customizing, and it really inspired me. Right now I'm still gathering up the materials, but I hope to complete a custom soon, and if all goes well, I'd even like to include a couple of customs in my senior show at the end of April. They'd be along the same lines as some of my other artwork, commenting on how the imagination of a child can change mass-produced commercial goods into personalized artifacts. It doesn't matter that there are, say, 10,000 more of that exact same toy, the one in your hands is special and individual.
I'm very happy to have found this forum, and look forward to further expanding my MLP knowledge.

*glomps* Dude! i LIKE your idea for your Senior Show! O_O;; That is an absolutly beautiful idea There are countless Lickety Splits out there, worldwide, and the only one i care for is my first one (well my Lickety Herd :P)
