I think I've seen her go for $250-350. I really want her too... can't afford that much though. Prices are crazy lately though so she might even go for more than that. Brazilian Baby Gusty just went for over $350, and I've been trying to get her for less than $70 in the past.. hah.. *weeps*

I would have expected her to go $250-300 also. She's one of the harder to find Brazils.

I'm soooo upset! I had been watching one--had it marked down on my calendar with the ending time two days from now, and now it's gone. It wasn't a buy-it-now, either.
Ruined my whole night. I can't stop thinking about it.

If you guys are talking about the one listed last on Mercadolivre it's good to be careful, the seller is known to ask the payment to be done in two parts, and once the first payment is done, he says he sold it to someone else. And it looks like he does not return the money back. He also sold that pony to more than one person
It's the same seller who is selling brazilian waterfall for R$ 200,00 there

Well, I thought a good thing had happened. I bid on that Bowtie, and a few days before it was supposed to end I get an email saying that the auction was over and I was the winner. I was confused, but happy about it of course. The seller says that he/she takes Amex, so I sent my info. I then get an email saying that the seller had used my card to buy Star Wars toys on another website, and that when the toys got to them they would send me the pony. I expressed how uncomfortable I was with this, and the seller just told me I could cancel the order and he/she would sell the pony to someone else. I was wary, but the order had already been placed so I figured I would just go with it and see what happened. I finally found the order confirmation in my spam folder, and the seller had ordered $25 more than the current exchange rate says the Reals were worth. I currently have requests pending with the customer service department at the toy website to cancel and/or remove items from the order. When I complained about the overcharge to the seller, he/she told me I could cancel the order or complain to Amex and they would sell the pony to someone in Brazil. The last email I sent said that I would see what I could do with ToyGlobe.com on Monday, and that I would like to pay with a foreign bank draft in Reals if I could cancel the whole order. I haven't heard anything since.
I have a flight out of LAX early tomorrow morning, so I guess I'll see what's in my inbox when I arrive in Texas! Even with the overcharge I would be getting Brazil Bowtie with shipping for $150, so right now I'm trying to be optimistic. I'll have to do more research on the seller after I land, however. I may be calling up Amex customer service instead to deny the charge. I'll let you know!

Honestly, BabyMedley, the situation sounds extremely worrying and I would get out. Even if the seller does come through, then you need to change your Amex info immediately afterwards.

OH that is soo bad, certainly limit your amex card or you may find it used again...still I guess there is a faint chance the seller is just unconventional in their selling and you will get a bargain....if it was a total scam I suppose the seller wouldnt even reply to your emails

This is the seller:
Nome: ALBERTO (last name removed by Chief)
Apelido: AAVMC (84)
e-mail: (removed by Chief)
Telefone: (removed by Chief)
Cidade: SÃO PAULO
Estado: SAO PAULO
País: Brasil
The customer service at ToyGlobe removed extra items from the order, but they aren't the best with communication either. I have requested a revised order confirmation.
After my Argentina pony fiasco (the one where 2 boxes worth never arrived), this is really souring my view of South American ponies. What have I gotten myself into?! I'm finding a lot of sellers in South America have business practices that I am just not comfortable with.
Luckily I watch my credit cards online like a hawk. Any fraudulent charges would be noticed by me right away.
Reminder: It is against site policy to post full names, phone numbers and other spcific identifying information.
Chief
