I don't get it. I'm very patient and I try to be very understanding. I wait until the very last possible moment before there I do anything that might tarnish a feedback score, etc. Personal issues come up. My husband's cousin was killed Easter night. So I had to put a slight delay on some packages.
I wrote this seller and explained my situation. I have been in communication with this seller. I thought it was all good. This morning, I Messaged her, telling her that I mailed her MO this morning. She then put an Alert on me without even writing back. I'll never purchase from this seller again. My feedback score, and communication should say everything that needs to be said. But it pisses me off that AFTER I told her that her MO was on the way, AFTER I explained what was going on, AFTER I already mailed the MO, she put out an Alert. I just won this item not too long ago. I normally use Paypal, but wanted these items and decided on using the MO method of payment.
This seller is in Canada and I didn't want her to think I would not pay. So I kept in communication. It's all good though b/c I mailed out her MO. I don't get it?? at least communicate. I will not be leaving a pos feedback score regardless. Just for the understanding and communication from her.
Look out for Blueyze635. She just wrote back and said that a lot of people are nonpayers.. blah blah blah. The MO is in the mail. I think that was what I wrote and told her. Not cool regardless.

She may have just done that to cover her own tail since there are so many NPB's. She's prolly just filing now since she can cancel it at any time, but if she waited, she would have to wait longer to file (providing you werent going to pay). Its probably nothing against you, Ive done the same before and let them know that I was filing just to be on the safe side. Most of the time the payment arrived and the NPB was cancelled, but those times it was not recieved, I didnt have to wait longer to recieve my Final Value credit or relist

I get what you are saying... I've had to do it before too. I hate it, but it happens. What I'm ticked about is that she did it all AFTER I messaged her that I sent her MO! If she had done it before, then I would be understanding of the Alert. Then she told me that if it isn't there by 7 days that she is relisting, 35$ matters to me. So it makes me feel like I sent the payment then got the Alert, then told if it wasn't there (sent overseas) in 7 days the items will be relisted. Will I get my money back? What about my protection?

I place alerts on late payers whether or not we're communicating doesn't matter. I've had buyers lie repeatedly. It's impossible to tell through email if the buyer is telling the truth or not. Alerts can always be removed. They don't affect you unless you get 3 of them that are converted to strikes, even then ebay doesn't always act. I wouldn't worry about it at all. The seller is following what ebay recommends and has done nothing wrong. Keep being nice and everything will work itself out. *hugs*

I don't know. It just seems fishy to me. I know the alert doesn't affect my score right now. But I'm worried about my money now. If I'd had the Alert before I sent the payment, I wouldn't be tripping. But to put the Alert as soon as I write to tell her I mailed her MO and be looking for it...? Anyone know of Money Order Protection??? (Like Paypal Buyer protection!) I'm just worried b/c it costs a heck of a lot more than the MO itself to get my money back. I lost one once and it was for 60$. It cost 48$ just to refund it. So I would have only gotten 12$ back.... That was Western Union.

I just hope that the USPS doesn't run super slow. I only have 7 days before she relists... Then what do I do? Oh well, I will just expect the worst and hope for the best. It's only 35$. Man, I even went out of the way to buy an Easter card with a cute little magnet b/c I was late. I felt so bad as it was. Now I guess I'll just be out the money. I know it sounds sour, but after seeing the way this went, and previous sellers... if I haven't bought or traded with that person before I don't even want to buy from them. I guess I was just too trusting before and it got me pinned. Now I'm worried I'm going to get ripped off by people!

Well, I called my PO and they said it should be there by Monday. I wrote to her and hopefully this will work out. I'm so untrusting since I got that last neg. She has 100% feedback... but still... it seemed fishy that I got the Alert AFTER I told her I paid. Now she can claim I never paid and there's nothing I can do about it. Also, I'll not be allowed to leave feedback. I can get screwed all of the way around. Like I said, why not put the neg before I said I paid. Why do it after?? *crosses fingers*

I wouldnt worry about it, but in these cases its always best to pay with Paypal, that way there is record of the transaction.
I put NPB alerts on after 7 days of no payment simply because there is so many people who have left me all these sob stories, and I wait, and wait and wait for payment, never to have it show up. ( I even had one woman call me on the phone assuring me I would receive payment but 5weeks pass and no payment and no credit from ebay either since it was passed the time). The issue with me is that I am a store owner, and lots of times when people havent paid , I have to hold thier merchandise for over 2 weeks, I cant relist it. So you have inventory that could be sold, but instead you have to wait on a customer who may or may not pay. 9 times out of 10, those who do not pay with in the 7 day warning, end up not paying at all.
But like I said Saphhire, I wouldnt worry. I would think she did that just to cover her. I know I would.

PMS.... I think that is part of it. But she has 100 % feedback... So hopefully it will go well. Canada scares me now. Two packages I have sent got opened and nearly ruined. I worry about sending mail there too. So hopefully it will go well. *crossing fingers*

Why would you not be allowed to leave feedback? People can leave me feedback with an alert placed against them. In fact someone did today and it reminded me to take the alert off! Am I missing someone here?

If she doesn't get the payment by the time she says, she can close the Dispute and I will receive an unpaid Item Strike. Then I will lose the feedback privledge. I think that is how it works, right? Oh well, let's just hope this goes smooth. I'm not as angry about it now... Worried about my money, yes. But if this comes off well, I will have two very very pretty Wingers!!! Cross your fingers for me!!

As far as I know, you can still leave feedback if you have a NPB strike against you. The only time you can't leave feedback is when you become an unregistered user for which you'd need 3 or more strikes. Otherwise any seller who thought they might be getting a negative from an unhappy buyer would be able to report the buyer to ebay to prevent feedback from being posted.

You know what bites? I am dealing with someone new and want to help them get their items for their daughter. However, my auction ended over a month ago. There was no word from the buyer. So after three tries, I put out an Unpaid Reminder.... She finally wrote and said that she mailed a MO. I waited for a week and still no MO, so I finally wrote to her to tell her that I had to end this after Saturday if the MO does not arrive. She caught attitude telling me that she wanted her money back and would never buy anything from me again. LOL I was like, HUH? Send you your money back...???? I don't even have it, or I wouldn't be closing this out. How do you eBay sellers deal with this??? Am I being too nice? I'd like for the little girl to get the item that her mother wants for her. But I can't just give it away..... *tearing out hair*
