I recently enquired about postage for 3 mail order babies postage to Australia with ins from prettykitty on ebay....this is what she wrote

i have one sealed pack left that is going for 650.
and i will be selling the other 3 in this set soon. other ponys next
week
shipping for all 3 would be around 22

Well I bid on one but was logged into my daughters account not the my normal account which I asked the question from and I won, the invoice came and postage for one was a ridiculous $27.99...what the

I just emailed her and she responded superfast saying

"that is the quote i was given. if it ends up being cheaper we always
give
back the difference"

so does that mean its cheaper for all three....what a headache I have read her other posts but thought if I ASK first it will be all good......grrrrrrr

but she quoted me $22 therefore I bid, if they quote you a price they have to stick to it right :s

She said shipping one baby pony was $27.99 (US to AUS)? No way. Shipping three baby ponies for $22? No way again. I would wait for some members from Australia that can help you with estimates. I don't think those figures sound right though. I could be wrong but I don't think so.

Thanx, she said if it costs less she'll refund the differance so I just sent her an email asking her to get it priced at the post office first to save the worry later :s grrrrr

I also sell on Ebay and I did some price checks through USPS and it shouldn't be more than $19USD max. I got $16USD for Airmail. 3 BABY ponies would be less than 1 pound I don't know where she is getting her numbers. Even with insurance is shouldn't be more than $19USD. The downside of Ebay.

So many people have had problems with this seller and her insanely inflated shipping prices. Sometimes she will refund the difference but not always. There are several posts here and on the TP about her if you feel like going through a couple of pages

If worse comes over, you can just pay what she wants then wait until the package arrives. If she did inflate shippping, go after her with a refund.

Thats ridiculus. Shipping 3 baby ponies shouldnt be that much at all.

Prettykitty1984 is actually in Canada. Shipping for 3 ponies using small packet airmail could be about $27 if it is over 500 grams but I think 3 baby ponies should be lighter than that if put in a bubble envelope so shipping would be about $14Cdn. She is known for overcharging on shipping so watch out for her.

I'm getting no where, I just want her to get the price from the post office.....this is what she wrote...that the PO do the packaging and then send her the bill....is that right, I told her there are threads about her shipping prices so I was concerned.

Woah there, this person is from Canada? Ok, now its a bit personal. Shes setting a bad name to Canadian sellers. You have the power to ask for a reciept to keep track of the parcel. Insurance is *free* with small packet up to $100. You do not give the ponies to the po and tell them to do the packaging, and they do not "send the bill". Thats the most insane thing ive heard all week.

If you are in Aus, click on international. Go to small packet. It doesnt matter if she ships them in an envolope or box, as long as its within a certain dimention, its still concidered small packet. To gove you an idea: I sent he fancy flora set MIB international and it went small packet. All the rates(air vs ground, and weight..along with prices) will be there, I guerentee it. Last I remember, 3 baby ponies may be slightly under 250g or slightly over, but nowhere near 500g. Those are including tax, you will find out exactly how much it costs.

I live in Canada and though I don't ship much stuff I have never heard of the post office packing your stuff and sending a bill. Personally I think she's the one who sounds "loopie".

Do you still have a copy of the email she sent you with the quote for sending the three for $22. If you do I'd email her that and see what she has to say about it.

Well this is the latest email.....my emails to her are really nice I have not accused her of anything at all and when I put that $22 email to her she totally avoids answering it :s I went to the wedsite melodys_angel gave me and I don't know where (prettykitty) got her quote from. She just avoids it, if she has sent that many MO before you'd think she'd know the PO price by now......not looking good :s

Give her the address I gave you. That is the official Canada Post Office website. Whatever is on there is the actual shipping price. No ands, ifs or buts. As I said before, the prices include tax as well as fuel and all that good jazz.


As far as I can tell, this person is insane. If sounds like she either doesnt know what she is talking about, is trying to scam you, or is a wee kid fooling around. Im not sure about a "university recycling programme" but she can always go to a post office building and send it there. You can say that you have dealt with other people from Canada and have done some research (if she goes on about "oh, this is only for my area/provance", say its nation wide/affects all of Canada as a whole-it doesnt matter where you are, the prices are fixed). If this address doesnt shut her trap, I dont know what will.

Ok just letting you know I have forwarded her emails on to ebay, she is accusing me of asking her to pay for shipping and she is writing in big letters that she will not be bullied into paying it ....WHAT THE, i have said nothing of the sort (i've been more than nice) also she is saying that she will not send it without insurance no matter what... but I never asked her not to. grrrr

Insurance is free with airmail up to $100. She doesnt even have to ask about it, she just needs to ask for a reciept...which costs *nothing*. What a pain, im so sorry you had to deal with her. I hope ebay rules in your fovor and you get this straightened out:(
