The seller does combine shipping as stated in the first email I received.

Thanks for letting us know who it is BM... I'd be very surprised if Ebay didn't do anything about it. They are pretty strict with their sellers and from my experience...they want to keep everything right and honest as much as possible. Keep us updated, I'm curious as to what happens.

I dont want to try and sound like I am being rude, but I dont think its right to put this persons ID on the Arena in an attempt to Slam them or put them in a bad light . In this persons defense, I went and looked at this persons Auctions on ebay, and they do Clearly state the shipping costs . I also am not seeing anywhere on the 5 my little pony auctions that I saw that they would combine shipping. So techincally they didnt have to give you the 25% off the total shipping.
Do I feel you are getting ripped off in shipping costs? YES, Most definetely
Do I feel the seller did anything to misrepresent their shipping costs to you? No.

Think of it this way too, If you were the one are getting those ponies for 99 cents a peice, with shipping it comes to nearly 4.25 a piece, with the 25% discount, you still got a good deal.

And I stress, I completely understand where you are coming from, and I too, would feel frustrated, but also, after looking at the sellers auctions, I feel that they havent been represented fairly in this forum.

You can decide for yourself if you want to deal with ebay members like this. It's your decision. I'm telling of my experience and how disgusted I am with it.

I've already said in their invoice to me they did say they combined shipping. I guess you missed that part. It's in my post above this one.

Doesn't matter what the price is of the pony. Overcharging on shipping is never ok.

Because of my position here, I'm very cautious about things like this. I don't take any of this lightly and I'm referring to releasing their name. Like I said, it's up to you, the consumer to decide for yourself if you want to deal with them. They do have good feedbacks on ebay. It's up to you.

Thanks for letting us know, BM! I think it is always a good idea to share our experiences when dealing with ebay or other online pony-selling sites. I'm glad we can all learn from each others mistakes, so we can avoid such an unpleasant situation ourselves

I agree; you're only presenting the facts, and we can decide for ourselves what to make of them.

Since their eBay invoice states that they combine shipping, they are "officially" overcharging you. And besides; if they charge you separately for each item, each item had better be shipped separately!

I'm not sure exactly what to make of this but ebay alerted me tonight that their account has been suspended. They cancelled many of their recent auctions. I checked out their feedback and someone else complained about high shipping and when I checked out their other (ended) auctions, shipping was very high on all of them. I suspect this is why ebay suspended their account. Ebay wouldn't give me any specific information due to member privacy issues but I did alert ebay about this matter 4 days ago.

I would've settled this nicely with the seller but their lack of communication, pressuring to make me pay and unwillingness to come to a compromise made that impossible.

I think you are right BM, most likely what happened with the auctions is that because of numerous supported cases of overcharging, ebay suspended their account. Just because a seller wants to state their shipping is X amt of money does not mean within ebay rules and regulations they can legally ask for that. Its like how an american seller on ebay can say they want someone to pay a 10% charge for ebay fees, but what they are asking for is not legal because they are not allowed to expressively ask for their fees to be covered in ebay auctions.

Frankly don't blame anyone for reporting them. Its like how some people will list a somewhat hard to find pony for 5 bucks, but then charge 20 bucks shipping. Just plain not legal under ebay rules.
