I had a package sent out on Wed June 14 from Belgium. I paid $21 for priority shipping for one sea pony with her shell, and it still isn't here almost 4 weeks later. Is it because the shipping has been slow from Europe, could it be in customs, or should I be worried about it being lost? At what point should I really become concerned about it? I have gotten stuff from Britain and France much faster than this, and I didn't pay for faster shipping. Is there a way to find out of it is in customs, or is there a general time that customs delays the package?

I usually begin to worry at about a month. A lot of the times it depends on the seller though. If I know the person. If I got a really good deal and someone could have possibly bought out from under me. If they have sketchy feedback.

The best thing to do is to contact your seller. They can usually call their post office and check into the package. Sometimes they get no information but sometimes they can.

I've had an airmail international package take over 6 weeks before.

Some overseas packages could take as long as 8 weeks especially if the seller send it different than priority, even you paying priority, it happens a lot.
But like Rosesare said, contact the seller and ask when exactly the pony was mailed and what kind of shipping was use and when you shuold expext the package , and also if she has any kind of number where it can be trackd.

everything takes forever and a day to get to me....so i give it more time- maybe 2 months. Althoug things from the UK have been getting here super fast whereas things from the lower 48 have taken 3 weeks or more via priority

I'm still waiting for a pony from canada- and it's been almost 2 months! I have to say I'm starting to get nervous, but I'm hoping she'll arrive soon!

*Have not lost hope yet!*

It's been a couple weeks since you started this thread; have you received it by any chance yet, obsidian? Or have you been able to get any info from the seller?

I haven't received her yet and the seller has not responded to the last pm I sent (Thurs July 20... I should have filed with paypal *sigh*). The pm is in my sentbox, so she did get it. I just sent another one. I'm pretty worried since I paid on June 8. At the seller's request I waited a while for the item to come, and the 45 day limit has passed with paypal so if she doesn't respond and the pony doesn't turn up I am out $53 and a pony. Sad

Wow is the seller in contact with you? Maybe since she made you miss the date for filing with paypal you guys could agree to split the loss and if it turns up down the road you could send her back her half?

also I would be asking for a receipt or something as proof of postage.

As soon as I finally hear from her I will definitely be asking for proof of postage... I think it is either lost or she didn't send it. I'm hoping it is the first, but ignoring my other pm doesn't make me too optimistic. Huh It should have been here a long time ago since I paid out the wazzoo for shipping. *sigh*

Update: On July 31 she did get back to me and said she would ask her post office if they knew anything. I still haven't heard back from her and she hasn't responded to my latest pm (sent yesterday).

I'm really beginning to think something is wrong with this transaction. I don't know if she didn't send it (I certainly hope that isn't the case), if it got sent by the wrong method, or if it is just lost. It's frustrating that I haven't heard from the seller.

What should I do at this point? Request a 50/50 split of what I paid? I can't afford to have just sent out $53 and not receive anything for it. I don't want to give her name yet since this could still be a communication issue and bad luck, but I really don't want to be out that much money. Sad

I'm sorry I didn't notice if you mentioned but did you buy the pony on Ebay? Did you pay wit ha credit card through paypal?

If it was either or those you can file with Ebay or file with your credit card company even though it's past the date for paypal.

Have you pm'd them since their reply on the 31st? If you have and they keep ignoring you it might be a good idea to post their name here so you can warn other buyers.

I hope you get it sorted out soon.
