PostPosted: 0    Post subject: What do I do? ebay advice

Ive just recieved a pony Ive wanted for ages after 3 weeks of waiting, and she is nothing like what the seller described her. I dont want to say the sellers name but I know she is well known here and is a member although she hardly ever posts unless she is coming here see whats been said about her.
She described the pony as near mint, with no hair cuts and a few small marks on the body.
Well she came and she was filthy with a big biro mark on her side by her symbol. I have managed to clean her up but Ill never get the biro off.
I like minty ponies, so im really fed up about this but what do I do, I dont want to leave her a neutral or negative for fear of getting a negative back.
I suppose I will just have to not buy from her again.
I know I can email her but by reputation she is not a friendly seller!

Moving to Trader Support for you Smile MLPMom

Have you posted this in the trader support section?
You'll get a good response there.

It would be best to message the seller through ebay that way you can prove you've done things by the books. You could ask for a partial refund or send it back if you are not happy.
If she refuses then you have a case to reoprt to ebay if you feel the need.

Don't leave bad feedback straight off.

Good luck with it Happy

Did you take a picture before cleaning her up? Id definately ask for a partial...because the item wasnt as described. Did she show you pictures when selling it to you? You should always ask so you can see the flaws before buying.

Leave bad feedback as a last resort/when everything else fails. Goodluck, ill get a corral mod to move this into TS.

There were a few pics in the auction but she had put the hair over the pen mark, and she really didnt look so dirty in the pics, she looked perfect.
I wonder if its the same pony that I recieved or not.

Im a bit scared to send her a message incase she takes it badly!! I will have a look through the auction again, she has taken all the pics off apart from one now so I cant even look back at the photos. But Im sure they didnt show her flaws or I wouldnt have bought her in the first place. I bought her on BIN.

look through the auction and gather all information you can. they contact her. tell her that you are not really satisfied and so. dont be affraid. i dont feel like you should let her do whatever she wants just because you are affraid of getting a neg. but remember all collectors have different opinions about what is mint and what is not! before you say anything, maybe try to ask her what her opinion of a mint pony is?

Yes, I will try that then. Ive never had problems with sellers before since Ive been buying on ebay for about 18 months so its all new to me.

My idea of mint is no cuts, no marks, no flaws whatsoever and definately no pen marks! Hers is the total opposite I think.

I had already bought the pony before I checked here for feedback on her, then realised she has a habit of wrongly describing her ponies. Just my luck, never mind, thanks for all the tips and advice everyone ; )

Make sure when you leave feedback, even if it's positive, to mention that that you weren't 100% happy with the pony. That way it will warn people in the future. Smile

Hopefully if you mail her you may be able to get a partial refund.

Don't worry, it's NOT your fault for assuming that she was honest in her description. Don't let her get away with selling you a "mint" pony when it definitely wasn't. Message her and at the very least, ask for a partial refund. Maybe she never checked under the pony's hair and honestly didn't know the mark was there. The worst that can happen is you will get a negative, and negatives aren't the end of the world-- almost everyone has at least one from dealing with sellers like this.

HI I think she is talking about me, First of all I am not one to give attitudes, people hardly ever complain, but when they do I am glad to give them thier money back when they want thier refund as anyone here has purchased and had a problem with me I never go and leave negative feedback for nothing. I mean If there is a problem it sould be brought up to the sellers attention. I dont think and I mean correct me if I am wrong I dont think I have had a problem with any of the buyers here. I am so sorry you feel this way and like i said when I PMed you I would have gladly refunded you, and you should have came to me before posting this. this was the email I wrote to her as well

Hi I dont know if you are talking about me WHich I am Crazyvintagegirl On Ebay. My friend went ahead and directed me over here. If you would have emailed me I would have gladly refunded you. I am not one to give attitude so I do not know where you got that I would do such thing. If you want we can sort this out, If you are talking about the Chuck E cheese Pony. Maybe from now on You should contact the seller before going out and telling everyone and not telling me

Excuse me but I was under the impression that trader support is here for a reason to get support and advice about buying, trading etc..

I have every right to post here and I certainly dont have to ask your permission first! Why should I email you first before I ask advice? If I was saying your name then yeah I could understand but like I said I have every right to post here, in case you havnt noticed thats the whole purpose of this forum??

Did I shout your name from the rooftops? No I didnt, no names were mentioned and I could have just came straight out with it but Im not like that. Now you have steamed right in and let everyone know its you so thats your problem.

No I wasnt happy with Chuck e cheese, you failed to mention and photograph the big biro mark on her neck and she was filthy, she certainly isnt near mint like you listed her anyway. Id like to know your idea of near mint!

Leave it at that, I dont appreciate your attitude about this, I was simply asking an opinion. I just wont buy from you again.

All I was saying is you could have came to me and I would have refunded you. How is that steaming you up. Sleepy Well you didnt say my name but you hinted towards it. But Its ok I mean you cant keep your customers 100% happy. You can still email me and I will give you a refund just like I said I would. That is no problem with me.

i'm sorry you had to deal with this and i'm not taking sides but i can kinda see from the seller's point that it was okay to contact her before posting about this and if the seller didn't reply, then i could see you posting for opinions on the situations but i would have just contacted the seller before posting on opinions unless she didn't contact you for awhile :nervous: that's just what i would have done Smile i would get a partial refund if you're not happy with the transaction though Look Round

Yes I can see mylittleponylovers point in a way but my point is that what trader support is for and most people just come straight out and name names and sometimes are not very nice at all about other sellers so I wasnt under the impression that I wrong by posting and I stand by that.

Mylittleponylover - I have dealt with ebay alot but I have never had any issues with sellers, I havnt got an issue as such with you but I wanted to know the best way of dealing with it because I wasnt 100% happy thats all.

If I had known it would be a problem to ask advice I wouldnt have bothered, maybe I should have mailed you first but to be honest I always ask advice here about anything so it was my first thought.

Thanks for being understanding, I appreciate it.
