You know, it might be easier and more fun to just host a Nirvana pony meet. If we started planning sooner than later, we could have all the details worked out before hand, and people could start planning sooner.
Think about it...we could have a Nirvana My Little Pony meet, and we could all get together and discuss stuff, trade, sell, buy, etc. Plus which, if anyone who was just starting to collect nirvana's wanted to come, it would be a great learning experience.
Like I said, the idea of having a Nirvana swap box would be cool, but RL issues could always get in the way. I would not be too concerned about losing $10, but if I am out $60 or more, I would be a bit frustrated. Additionally, some of our coolest and most fun members who collect Nirvana ponies live outside of the United States. I think it would be somewhat disappointing if they were unable to join.

To be honest, I would be the one losing money. I would start the box, and send out my own ponies to begin with. Everyone else would get the box and make sure the trade is fair on their end. No one else really has anything to lose.
I agree it's too bad that people in other countries couldn't join, but it's for good reason (it's too expensive and takes too long, plus you can't get delivery confirmation, customs can get in the way, etc. etc.).
I think a Nirvana pony meet is a pretty far-fetched idea, no offense. I mean, it's difficult enough to organize a regular pony meet in terms of getting enough people from one area who are interested and able to come together. Then think about the small percentage of MLP collectors who actually collect Nirvanas...I just can't see that happening, unless people were willing to pay for the expense of the travel costs (because more people from further away would have to come together). Plus, that still excludes people from other countries...

I dunno, there are so many things that could be done, but it is very difficult to get people to confirm whether or not they are serious. Eh, who kows. When you get everything together though, let us all know, Prixton! It would be exciting if it worked out!

LOL, well depending on what kind of response I get for this, I might just end up selling her. If I do, you'll be the first to know! |
Lol cool - I'd appreciate that. I just don't have a big enough nirvana collection to have any spares!

Prixton--I would be up for it......you know some of the ponies I would put in the box (as we have been trying to work out a trade)! LOL!
I think perhaps it would be better if we defined a smaller price range--oh say $15-30 approx and then together here on the nirvana forum come up with a list of ponies that fall into this range.....such as:
Spain Tickle
Italy Gusty
ect
maybe this would help with that "I'm not sure if my pony is worth as much as this pony" question?
hmm..either way I would be in for it!

very interesting. personally I don't have any "extra" nirvanas as I only buy ones I want or have already sold ones I didn't so I have nothing to participate with. and even if I did I probably wouldn't as I find swap boxes to be fun but a little hit and miss since it could arrive with nothing in it you want and then you're out shipping for nothing and even with a small amount of people (say 5) it can still take forever for the box to get around.
for those that want to do it though I hope it goes well and you get a neat pony out of it.

Prixton...are you still doing this? I only ask because I am in the US, and I happen to have a bunch of Italians. If you don't want to do it, I could start an Italian swap box. Or maybe it could just start out as an Italian swap box and other ponies could be added.
I don't have any feedback (I think) here at the Arena, but I have a ton from eBay, several from the MLPTP, Fiona's, and Katie's Toybox. And I participated in AJCoeCoe's swap.

Well, I was considering doing it, but NO ONE emailed me saying they were interested. So, based on that lack of interest I am doubting that I will do this after all.

Mods, can we lock this? Since Tiegrsi is actually doing a nirvana swap box and I am not, there is no reason to keep this one up. Thanks!
