These%20are%20the%20Rules: All%20signatures%20must%20fit%20within%20an%20area%20500%20pixels%20LONG%20and%20200%20pixels%20HIGH. Total%20signature%20\"weight\"%20must%20be%20less%20than%2060k.%20 Sigs%20with%20no%20graphics%20may%20have%20up%20to%20five%20lines%20of%20text.%20 Sigs%20with%20graphics%20can%20have%20up%20to%20two%20lines%20of%20text.

One%20Ticker%20at%20a%20time%20-%20with%20NO%20other%20signature%20graphics%20or%20text. Note%20regarding%20any%20click-to-grows%20(dragon%20eggs,%20etc)%20-%20limit%20is%203%20without%20any%20other%20pics,%20and%201%20with.

^^ All signatures must fit within that rectangle. You may have as many images as you like within it, as long as it fits. When your signature is too big, you can expect a visit from our olive-green gal there. She's awfully grumpy, too.

There are a couple of different ways to get your signature resized, just in case you find it difficult to do yourself.

* You could PM SourdoughStomper, Kiwi, Loa, or Dragonfly for help.

* Or you could try this website or this one.

Remember: only you can prevent "Big Sigs" from paying you a visit!

What does "weight" mean?

Weight - simply put - is the size of your picture. To find out the size of your sig pictures, right click (on the pic) and choose Properties. There you will see the size in either KB or Bytes. The TOTAL (all pics combined) weight is 60 KB (or 60,000 Bytes).

What types of pictures are the worst for being heavy weights?
PNG files, animations, and movie/video clips are the ones with the heaviest file sizes.

What options do I have to lower the weight?
PNG files are the easiest - resave the picture in either a JPG or GIF format. Those are a lot lower in size.
Animations and clips - you can save to a lower quality. Might not look as great, but it should fit better.

My sig pic is 199 pixels tall but it's way less than 500 pixels wide. Does the writing under it then make my sig too big? If I have to, I can move it onto the pic so it goes off to the side instead of under it. I think it looks better this way, but I think I can make it look nice the other way if I have to. Just let me know.

It's small enough, but it's now morbidly obese, 161KB, and the weight limit is 60KB. You can reduce the file size by converting it to almost anything other than png. I've personally found jpg to be "lightest," but some people say they can make theirs "lighter" with gif. Gif will reduce the quality of the image, but jpg won't, and you should be able to get it down to 13KB just by converting it to jpg with no other change. Here, let me see if I can help you. I'll edit this post in a minute.......
