yeah the face looks exactly like an old barbie and i thought maybe it was from the same comapny but it isnt.and the hair isnt rooted,the scalp is a seperate piece with the hair under it coming up over it.very strange.

That doll on the left looks like one named Mitzi. I just got a doll price guide and they mentioned a doll named Mitzi that was made by Ideal in the early 1960's.
