Hey everyone! I'm Nikki Kelly Silva. I go by dxgirly all over the interwebs in my various interests. I'm 26 years old, and I just got married October 8th, 2011. I live in Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA. I work at Wal-Mart in the Connection Center, selling cellphones. I've tried college twice, but I dropped out both times, partially due to difficulties with my bipolar disorder, and partially just because I really dislike school in general. haha. My husband and I currently live with my parents in the house I grew up in. We're hoping to be able to afford to move out within the next year or so. I have two younger sisters, but they're both moved out now.
I fell in love with ponies as child. They were my favorite type of toy. I loved the television show too. I remember crying when they took it off the air. I don't even remember how many ponies I had back then, but between my sisters and I, we had A LOT. Sadly, when I was around 12 or so, (when I thought I was too cool for ponies) I let my mom give away all of our ponies to a local nursery school.
I fell back in love with ponies around 2004, when they released the first complete season of the television series on dvd. I started to by a pony here and there, but I had a very low paying, low hours job then, and A LOT of debt, so I didn't really get to buy very many. Then life caught up to me and I forgot about my ponies for a few years, but I was going through my things about a month ago and found them, and it resparked my interest. Since then, I've been pretty much obsessed once again.
As of right now, my pony collection only includes MIB G3, G3.5, and G4 ponies. I want to start picking up some loose G1, G2, and G3 ponies, but honestly I'm worried about how to go about storing them. I don't want them to get all dirty and dusty. So if anyone has any tips on that issue, I'd be eternally grateful.
Annnd that's about it. My other interests include makeup, hair, fashion, video games, anime, manga, science fiction and fantasy books, Harry Potter, emo/punk/post-hardcore music, Final Fantasy, and Hello Kitty. If you ever want to chat with me about any of those things, I'd be more than happy to.
Also, anyone is welcome to add me on facebook.
www.facebook.com/dxgirly I LOVE new friends, but be warned, I post quite a bit, so if you're easily annoyed, I'd pass for now..... LOL
