PostPosted: 0    Post subject: tutorial on de-frizzing & refreshing factory curl

i thought this might help with some minor restoration of curly-headed ponies Smile

so i have several ponies who still have their factory curl but it is frizzy and poofy and a little unkempt. As curl tends to get Smile

instead of taking the factory curl out and totally re-doing it with curlers (thereby making it no longer factory curl) i was experimenting on just...neatening the curl and trying to make it look more presentable.

i talked to a friend of mine who is a hairdresser about how she makes curly people hair look super-nice without using a curling iron and from the advice i got from her, i did this:

Here is Little Whiskers pre-hair salon

Now, if the hair is dry, clumped, and really frizzed and rough-feeling this will only work minimally. This method is good if all that is needed is combing and de-frizz. i have used some Frizz-Ease with a little success on more seriously frizzed curls, but it can get greasy-looking if you use even a tiny bit too much.

you dont have to heat set this since you arent creating new curls. you *can* use a dryer on low with a diffuser if you want to but i found when i tried that it ended up the same as if i didnt.

anyway, hope this helps Smile
