Hi customizers =]

Does anyone have any tips for getting the pony off the back card in such a way that I can re-attach it after painting the card? I want my custom pony to be the whole package

Can I use powdered rit dye to color pink pony hair purple? How? I just want the light pink strips to be purple instead.

Um, what generation are we talking about here? I hope you're not planning to take a MIP G1 out of its packaging to customize o_o

I'm assuming G4! I have the same problem- the plastic rips the picture right off in spots.

*waits patiently for answer*

As to removing that back card I'm not sure. Huh Maybe you could try steaming it open?

Dying pink hair purple is easy using Rit dye. You can just give the entire pony a quick dip in a purple dye back and that will dye the hair without affecting the pony - you'd have to actually soak the pony to dye it whereas the hair dyes very quickly.

If you only want to dye certain sections of the hair than I suggest foiling. You can do it just like you would on human hair by separating out the sections to be dyed, laying the hair on a small piece of foil and applying with a brush. Wrap the dyed hair up in the foil for a few minutes and then shampoo. Wink

Ah, okay. The wording was a bit confusing, since really the pony isn't attached to the card with G4s.

Hm... You could try steam, yes. But, if you're painting your back card, does it matter if the picture gets damanged a bit when you peel it off? Just work slowly so it doesn't tear big pieces, and then you can touch up where you need to.
