You're ok. If you right click on an image, it should give you the option to "view image info" or something similar to that. It will tell you the file size. Your first image is 17.39 KB and your second is 18.46 KB, so that's a total of 35.85 KB.

thanks Zenna. Yup - right click your images, and pick either View Image Info or Properties (depends on your browser).

I know people aren't doing it intentionally, but it is important to remember ALL site rules. If you get pulled over for speeding, the police officer isn't going to accept "oh, I forgot there was a speed limit"

Actually you didn't - your image is 80 KB, which is 20 over the limit. Please double check it carefully.

If your file weight is too big and you don't have any kind of software to change it, here's a great online tool!

tools.dynamicdrive.com...optimizer/

You upload your image and it comes back with a few different optimized file size so you can pick the one that is the smallest file size and best quality for what you want! Then just save the new file to your computer and ta-da!
